Is bike riding in Berlin safe?
Bike riding in Berlin is refreshingly safe and pleasant. Unlike many modern capital cities, Berlin's streets are very bike-friendly, with lots of bike paths and alternative routes. Good city planning and tough environmental laws restricting vehicles with high exhaust output make the inner city a pleasure to ride around.
Those who have had to do a drivers license in Germany will know how rigorously German drivers are prepared for sharing the streets with bike riders and pedestrians. Thanks to law- abiding Germans and thorough legislators, bike riders are protected by stringent road regulations.
Of course, helmets are optionally available with the bikes on all tours at no extra cost and for a small fee with regular bike hire.
Bike City Berlin
The figures are surprising: only every second household owns a motor vehicle. Everyone else rides a bike or uses public transport. So if you swing yourself onto a bike to see the city with us, you'll be in the best of company on the road.

Berlin is almost as flat as Amsterdam. Parts of the Government area or the area around the Museumsinsel are even car-free.
