Welcome Walk
Start experiencing Berlin right away!
First impressions are very important, particularly when travelling. Even years later, it's often the first few hours in a city that you remember most distinctly. It's a shame that this first part of any trip is so often taken up with organisational hurdles: the bus transfer to the hotel, or the search for the right train to your accommodation, sorting out which room is for whom and unpacking those necessary possessions.
Our WelcomeWalk makes sure you get a good start to your stay in Berlin. If you arrive with a group, for example at the new Hauptbahnhof (Central Station), our guide will be waiting for you on the platform. Your baggage can be couriered to the hotel and you can experience 100 percent Berlin from the moment you arrive. Chancellor Merkel resides within view of the spectacular central station. We walk past the government buildings and look through parliamentarian's office windows, then past the Reichstag, with its ever-present queue of visitors wanting to go up into the dome, and on to Brandenburg Gates.
Or we can swing by Friedrich Street or Oranienburger Street, where a lively nightlife is already awakening in the early evening.
A well-rounded 90 minutes is a good dose to start off with. Our guide will then take you to your hotel, which, with any luck, will be within walking-distance, otherwise we'll accompany you on public transport or with a bus transfer.
This offer is available for small and large groups and also for individuals, couples or families on request.
Prices depend on the size of the group and the distance to accommodation for baggage transfer. Let us give you an obligation free quote!
Of course the Welcome Walk is also possible if you arrive with some other form of transport. We will be happy to pick you up from the airport or await you at an obvious place from the airport bus stop or train station.
Groups or school classes arriving by bus are equally welcome on our walk. The bus simply drops you off at an appointed spot then brings your luggage to the hotel or picks you up again at the end of your walk.
On the Welcome Walk you can also get a Welcome-Card from Berlin Tourism Marketing. This enables you to travel for 2 or 3, or 5 days on public transport for free and enjoy 25% off many of the city's attractions, including bike tours from Berlin on Bike.
